Awsome Sketches

Check out Alberto Ruiz at his Process Junkie blog. He has some wonderful sketches, some great poetry and some cool tunes. He has a great, upfront approach to his art. He sketches. He doesn't want to be an illustrator or a comic book artist or a fine artist. He sketches. Explore his site and if you like, snag one of his books before they're all sold out.

May's meeting with Ted Crow

Thanks to all of you that attended May's NOIS meeting with featured speaker, Ted Crow. It was great to see Ted's work from concept to printed page and hear about his work and life experiences. NOIS would like to extend a special thanks to Rich Cihlar, owner of The Pop Shop in Lakewood for allowing us to use his gallery for our meeting and to Jeff Hulligan who let us in and helped us setup. The atmosphere at The Pop Shop was great and the work on the walls are excellent. Well worth stopping by at 17020 Madison Ave., 216-227-9261.

Next Month is Sketch Crawl at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Check back for more details.

Sketch Project 12

todd v is completely immersed in the Cleveland art scene and the promotion of it. You may have read the article about him and his Sketch Project 12 in last weeks Plain Dealer. That's where I found him, but there's more. Not only is he a very talented artist, he also maintains a weblog called The Cleveland Canvas. It'll keep you up-to-date on all that's happening in the art scene in Cleveland. So, by-all-means, check out his sites and submit a sketch. Get involved and draw.
